You don’t need to do anything These changes start from 1 July 2026 and apply to small customers (all residential customers and most small business customers). New restrictions on feesFrom 1 July 2026 the regulatory requirements will prevent us from charging fees in certain circumstances. For customers in hardship, experiencing payment difficulties, or affected by family violence, we can’t charge any fees, except for charges from your distributor that we pass through to you. Limits on price increases and feed-in tariff (FiT) decreasesFrom 1 July 2026 the regulatory requirements will limit the timing of when we can increase your prices or decrease your FiTs. Our terms already state that we will not change prices where we are prevented from doing so by the regulatory requirements. From 1 July this will mean price increases and FiT decreases must be limited to: - for variable rates or FiTs – once each year in July - for fixed rates or FiTs – no more than once every 12 months, starting when the fixed rate or fixed FiT starts. Notice periods for price and FiT changesFrom 1 July 2026 the regulatory requirements about the amount of notice we must give you when we vary your prices are changing. These obligations are also being extended to require us to provide you with notice when we vary your FiTs. We’re amending our terms to reflect this as follows. If there’s an increase to your rates or a decrease to your FiT, we must let you know: - for variable rates or FiTs – at least 5 business days before - for fixed rates or FiTs – at least 20 business days before.
